when i go through water i start to misfire and then i engine stops.wat can i do to fix the problem

get new leads, dizzy seal, and WD-40 it all before hand.

A silicone spary is better, as it don't conduct electricity, and still helps keep water out of electrics.

But yes, crook leads etc can be most of the problem.

X2 fix these first then WD40 inside the cap and Lanotec everywhere else.

hypactive1 on here has a similar issue - and its water getting to the coil thats causing it.

rubber glove. put it over your dizzy, and cut the tips off the fingers for the leads to come thru. then just tape it up at the bottom and around the leads. could even use the same thing for the coil if you wanted.

The Old Glove Trick used to work wonders on my S2 LandRover years back,managed to out preform many diesels in wet terrain.

Apart of any good recovery kit or wallet has a condom. Use one over the coil. If you don't use it for that you could use it for something else I guess

yeah duct tape, electrical tape, sticky tape. hahaha just see what works best. im using 100mph race tape, aint nothin getting that off, but i think it may be expensive, i get it from work.


hahahaha christover1, not me personally but an older tradie at work told me the trick ! saying that mini's were always getting wet dizzies.

Yeap, they right at the front and low down.
I used a 4L plastic bottle cut in half, and hooked to grill.
I found gloves were a bigger pain, if they did let water in,
because then it gets trapped.
6 Mokes to Cape York in 86, never had any probs with the river crossings.
