It's one of those things mate. Look into a roctoy incorporating a transfer cradle, helps to distribute the stress a bit better in the mounts. If not, maybe look into a just cruising transfer lift, definately better and stronger than original mounts 8)

4.9s are enough to kill mounts. You could try replace them with something stronger, but this will move the weak point somewhere else on the transfer case.. My case uses body lift pucks with some HT bolts through them.

Try using genuine transfer bushes instead of aftermarket.

maybe this is your problem? Stock mounts can stretch a lot under shock load.

I run a polaris engine mount (can supply part# if you like). They are around $30 each, are rubber and still stretch like stock ones but have a higher tearing point. I run 6.5's with no ther reduction and 33" Bias TSL's. So far no problems including a couple of 1st and 2nd low clutch dumps, but generally I am pretty easy on it.

I've snapped my engine mount, bent my long mount on the transfer and torn a rubber mount.
with 4.1's. Brace the shit out of it haha.

When you replace your t-case bushings make sure you check your transmission ad engine mounts too. It seems to me one will take out the other and vice versa. I was loosing mounts like crazy until I found my motor and trans mounts were bad too and replaced them, so far no more broken mounts.
