Post subject:  G16B Wire colour identification

Hey all.

Pretty new to the forums thing so easy on me.

So i've got a nice little 92 Sierra with the G16B conversion which had already been done by a previous owner. I'm putting an adaptronic 440 ECU in the old girl but i'm looking for some help with wire identification... I've seen a few diagrams for http://www.suzukiinfo.com/ but at a glance, they don't match up to my wire colours. They must be identification for G16B's from other countries maybe. Either way, if someone out there has a list of all the ECU pins and what they do, that's probably what i need (eg. pin 4-water temp, pin 5-Throttle pos sensor etc etc)

Engine is a G16B, twin coil, waste spark, SOHC, 16V... Year model and from what vehicle is unknown. It uses a MAP sensor not a MAF sensor and no dizzy. unlike most of the diagrams i've found which tend to show a MAF sensor and even a dizzy...

Any help appreciated.

Howie.

Where is the top water outlet? Back of head or coming out of the intake manifold?

Sounds like a later GV 2door (rareish) or Baleno motor.

Thermostat housing is mounted on the back of the head... And yes, i was told it was a baleno motor but still not 100% sure.

Yep. Its a 98+ Baleno motor.

Also Esteem in other markets.

Runs a crankangle sensor also.

yes that's correct. definitely has a crank angle sensor :D thanks mate. So these particular G16B's are less common than others? And idea where i can find the ECU pin identification?

Thanks... I'll do a cross reference some time this week to see if colours match up.

This may help also. Pinouts for a different model adaptronic. They have alot of baleno engine tech over there as its mainly turbo'd roadcars.
