1 litre body ?

will a 1 litre soft top complete body fit on a 1.3 rolling chasis

I fitted a 1.3 motor and gearbox to my 1.0litre zook.
The gearbox tunnel was very tight, with my 50mm body lift.
So a hammer or widening of tunnel, or even weld in a 1.3 tunnel
may be needed.

Electric wiring is different, so transfer of wiring loom may be needed.

I have been told the body mounts dont line up, so some fabbing could be needed.
But I have never measured it up.

Body is basically same shape as a 1.3 narrow track,
so it could be feasible.

thanks mate ..ive got complete 1.3 chasis with 1.3 running gear no bodyand was just hoping the 1 litre shell might have been a bolt on,and used the 1 litre transfer case up the track when fitting bigger tyres. thanks again

but cost was same as just buying a 1.3.

I measure my 1.3 nt chassis with a 1l body and the mount are completely different. Front clip might be the same but body mounts are different.

1L body mounts are different. With a little work you can get it to fit though.

EDIT: Just to add to this, as Chrisover said, the tunnel is much narrower. The shifter hole is in a different spot, there is no accomodation for a brake booster on the firewall, the bonnet will not clear the 1.3, and I think thats about it.

I also depends on the year, my 87 1 litre has same body mounting and same tunnel as a 1300

I've found that if the 1.0 body uses the cone type rubber mounts, it will fit a 1.3 chassis nicely.
The early 1.0 with flat rubbers will only line up with a few 1.3 mounts.
