Hey guys,
I've put this same thing on the ae86drivingclub forum and its been on there for 4-5hrs and i haven't even had anyone say anything yet. So i thought i would try my luck cause i know that a few blokes have done the conversion before and the ppl on here are always willing to help.
Ive got a 4age 16v 1.6ltr big-port blue-top t-vis with map sensor not afm sensor in my Suzuki sierra. Just wondering if anyone would have a second hand distributor and Ignitor assembly for sale in the sunshine coast or Brisbane area.
The numbers on the Ignitor assembly are (19070-16050) & the denco number is (101311-4481) if that helps.
Unfortunately the sticker has come off the dizzy so i don't have any numbers but i can tell you it is the dizzy with 2 wheels, the bottom wheel is multi-toothed and the top wheel has 4 teeth.
Any help would be appreciated
Cheers
Fletcher
P.S I've messaged 2stroker and just waiting for a reply from him.

Scratch this. Called him. Nothing there. He said the igniter on a Camry should be the same, but he doesn't like your chances of finding a dizzy as they are well known for shitting themselves.

ring up bursons and get them to cross reference part numbers with your toyota numbers, you will find they will probably have aftermarket stuff on the shelves.

thanks for the effort guys, ive rang my main suppliers autopro and they have priced after market stuff and its not cheap (for a 1st year apprentice mechanic wage).
a/market dizzy $300
genuine dizzy $1,100
a/market ignitor $470
gunuine ignitor $490 (out of japan)
i may have picked something up but the wreckers arent 100% sure if its the right one, its worth a shot as for both its under $200 and if they are wrong i can send them back.
jrzook: there is a problem with signal from dizzy to ecu and ecu to ignitor, but the ecu has been repaired because there was a burnt circuit inside. whats happening is while its turning over its advancing itself to 25 btdc and compression locking for a second then when it fires it retards itself to 20 atdc which makes it bog and not be able to rev, but then you can turn the key off, crank it over and it will start perfect and run spot on........
