hi all my mate bought a 1ltr ute and want to put 1.3 N/T diffs in it.
With the tail shafts can the 1.3 uni joint flange fit on the 1ltr tail shafts like take the flange of the uni and swap with 1.3 one?
He also has a brake booster and master cyl of a 1.3 he will he need the proportion valve also?
Is there anything eles he will need?

1 litre and 1.3 diff centres are not interchangable. you would need to change the complete diff, housing and all.
you can swap flanges as suggested, but you will run into the problem of 1 litre uni has internal circlips, 1.3 has external, all other aspects of the uni joint ate the same. you would have to run a half and half universal joint. ie, 2 1 litre uni joint caps with internal clip and 2 1.3 caps with external circlip.
why does he want 1.3 diffs? the ratios aren't as good, especially if he's running bigger tyres. and the diff housing is larger so he will lose ground clearance to the bottom of the housing.
the only benefit is if he wants to run an airlocker. a pretty good benefit I suppose, but he'd need to run lower gears in the transfer case to compensate for the diff gear change.
I wouldn't worry about the brake booster, with good adjustment the 1 litre brakes are pretty good. on that, if you change the diffs over make sure you reuse the 1 litre brake backing plate if you can. the hole in the centre is larger and the axles/wheel bearings can be removed without removing the backing plate, so brakes don't have to be pulled apart/rebled etc.

he is doing a complete diff swap so he can run air lockers with the 1.3 diffs comes the disc brake front so booster will be needed and proportion valve to suit also??
his not woried about bleeding brake thats not a problem.

May as well fit the prop valve...
Hope you doing an eng con, cause a lt isn't going to like turning the wheel's with 3.9's...

1 litre disk brake front (not boosted, but different master cyl to drum front) doesn't have any prop valve
