Hi All, I'm rebuilding my transmission today and I cant get the case apart? I have tried to use a screwdriver in the slot, however it doesn't come apart. There is loads of silicon holding it together. Any ideas? Thanks Dale |

Screwdriver in the slot then whack with a hammer. It just needs prying apart, as long as ALL the bolts are out? |

Have you got the front cover off inside the bellhousing? You've got a copy of the FSM and are following that right? |

Yep, missed the two bolts at the top. However I have now damaged the case. Anyone have a 1.3 WT 91 transmission case? In Vic? Thanks Dale |

A bigger hammer doesn't always pay off |

That's only the bellhousing, I wouldn't stress too much about it. |

Replace it if you can source one otherwise just drill a small hole at the end of the crack and call it good. |

Drill a hole at the end of the crack, then weld it up? Easy done |
