| Post subject: | G16A to G16B efi head conversion (HELP) |
hi i have afew of my parts for efi just need a new head ect, ecu and wiring loom. the thing is i have the intake manifold and air flow sensor off a 93 vitara LWB auto i just want to know what wiring looms for what years can i use for my conversion that will work with my other parts? i would also like to just be able to have the eninge loom so i dont have to unplug and figure where everything goes back. the pic is off my air flow sensor as i know theres different AFS from different years with different pins. can you please help we as im wanting to do this conversion as soon as i can |

Your AFM is a 5 pin Mitsubishi unit by the looks. |

yeh mate thats the thing i did buy a complete car for the efi conversion thats why i got all these parts i was going to put them on my car but the head was stuffed had a nice big crack on top of head and the wiring loom wasnt to impressive but it had a auto ecu n i got manual i know it would work but you know haha |

Cracked 16V heads are common. I bought a brand new one (bare) for $550. |

yeh i got quoted about $600 for a bare head but was a jap one and i could get one for $380 but its a chinese one |

it just came back to me last night that if im converting to efi i have to change the pistons to 16 valve pistons or else it wont work so i might as well not bother then its goint to start to cost too much |
