Post subject:  Wiring up trailer point on a jimny

Hey guys my jimnys got a tow bar but no point to plug in for the lights. I was going to tap into the tail lights to run the cable but saw something on google about an adapter clip you can buy and plug in somewhere. Any ideas on the easiest way to do this?

i believe hes meaning a plug n play loom, which is available on many larger 4x4s but i really have no idea for a jimny, but those wire taps are evil

On my Jimny, the wiring loom runs up behind the right rear tail light.
You unplug the plug behind the brake light and plug in the loom between that and the existing plug. If that makes sense ?

try www.parksidetowbars.com.au - they have "wire safe" looms - not sure about jimny but you might get lucky.

I'm in Albany creek in brissy. Yeah was basically after a plug and go loom to avoid tapping in. Hopefully I can get one to adapt onto somewhere near the tail lights? Thanks for the websites guys I'll check them out

Yeah I am planning on tapping into it but though if there was a plug and play it would be a big easier. I suppose I'll just cut the wires and solder some new ones on for the trailer no big deal.
