G'day I'm fitting new springs, I've got a ruf but the rears are too short
Any know of a spring that is a couple of inches or so longer that would suit a 2" lift? Ive been quoted $200 per pack for customs from Westcoast which is too much.
Cheers

What rears are you running at the moment that are too short?

There's no such thing as too short for a car with 3/4- just slide the 3/4 spring up a bit. Shackle angle is adjustable.

Ps the car was set up on ome, don't know what's in it now.

Rears are to short for the front ruf

Off the shelf EFS rear mains are ~1040mm. Significantly longer than std rears

Your car has the longest extension I ever did- it was ruf#1 Circa 1998 :D - 100mm (!) i am down to 35mm now with 2" on the bumpstops when I do a ruf. I'd slide the shackle hanger back about 60mm, if you don't know someone who can weld, try efs packs or look at custom.

I really appreciate the info. The only reason i want to go longer is the shackle hits the stop after about 15degrees of movement and the static position is already short of vertical. I like the idea of longer springs and was thinking i could pull the diff forward a little more do you see any problems there? welding is no problem either if that is a better option, I think youre original ome springs are still in it, the fronts arnt too bad but the rears are stuffed, 13 years not a bad lifespan it looks like its been used pretty hard :D
