any body done the water pump in there v6? looks like a massive job .. any advice before i start ? thanks khanacross |

Take your time, if the timing cover doesn't come off, look for more bolt's. The 4 that go through the sump to the timing cover are different to the cover bolt's, don't mix em up, seen the block damaged from that.. Oh, & have fun |

Also, there is a drain bolt in the block for the cooling system, if you take that out it will save you filling the sump with coolant. Can be done with out completely removing the intake, but you would want to be sure the valley is CLEAN. may as well get new rocker cover gasket's to. Suzuki silicone is highly advised (for the timing cover), not cheap, but they spent lot's of money to get it right.... |
