Post subject:  Best place for a 2" exhaust system

Hey guys

Well my exhaust system has seen better days, and well Its time I think to replace it.

I have a 89 Sierra with a G16A engine and 1.6 extractors, the extractors are new, i want to replace the exhaust from the extractors back.

I can get it from Suzy store in Perth for $575 + postage.

Is there any better deals out there?
I'm not an expert on exhaust set ups so if there's a better solution feel free to jump in.

Cheers guys

Geese that's alright. The end part of the extractors is welded to the catelic converter, (dog welded).
Who did I the quote?

Awesome thanks guys.
Yea the extractors may not be saved but if that's the case I'll just get the whole shebang.

Why no cat?

Because my dog chased it away!

But seriously. Less restriction and more importantly (to me at least) it can't fuck up and collapse or burn stuff under your car.

If the car (and the engine, so if you stick a later engine in then it needs a cat) was made(or complianced, can't remember which it is) before the 1st of Jan 1986 then you don't legally need a cat.

There's tons of exhaust places in Bunno, go and run around for some quotes.

Please run a cat if your car come out with one...you can get big fine's for not having one  . BTW i have been told time and time again by many exhaust shops that having cat or not having a cat will make no difference to performance....they said you could do a dyno run with one and with out one and you would not see any difference in performance....weather it's true or not...i dunno....

^^ i've heard the same... infact i've also heard some newer engines if run without a cat perform worse than with due to computer trickery...

x2, i know its a bit different but you should see some of cat's the new diesel trucks have in them. they are huge...6' long x 1' wide 8O and still putting out 500-600RWHP

anyways, decent exhaust shop NOR? i need mine done very soon? and when you ^^^ say "from cat back.." are you saying from behind the cat or including the cat? big different in price.
