Hi guys,
new to Suzie world and just bought a sierra with Spring over, 2" body lift and running 33" tyres. i need new shock absorbers for a roadworthy so sensible suggestions please. Still has standard springs. no RUF but may consider this conversion sooner than later.

Ones that fit.

Drive up something, get your springs fully extended measure the distance between mouting spots.
Get your springs fully compressed measure the distance between mounting spots.

Find a shock to suit those measurements.

I can help with shocks like Dan said measure up and post up and your location and I'll send you a quote from dobinsons and EFS plus a cheaper nastier alternative as well.

SPOA, 2" BL and 33's and you're worried about needing shocks for a RWC?

It all depends on how/where you bumpstops were placed. If they have been spaced to provide standard compression travel even though you are SPOA, and the upper mounts are stock, then you can use a stock or stock replacement shocks.

If the bumpstops are setup differently or the top mounts have been changed, you need to measure.

Remember to make sure the shocks can't ever bottom out before the springs. Normally, you need to allow 1" more shock travel than the measurement between the bumpstop and chassis, + 1/2 the thickness of the bumpstop to allow for hard compression (like if you accidentally jump the car)

Okay,
Front Shockers measured from centre of eyebolt at bottom to bottom of washer at the top (above the washer is a rubber spacer, then the shock mount, then rubber spacer and then final washer with nut.
Length when compressed 400 mm. Length when axle fully hanging 540mm.

The shockers currently fitted are KYB model 343398. I'm not convinced these are the right length since one has spewed it's oil out of the shaft seal.

The rears are eye to eye. Compressed 360mm and fully extended 525mm

Delivery would be to Port Melbourne 3207

Might as well add a steering dampner into the equation (it looks like it's still the original one)
