1.3 carby. g13ba havent touched the zook in a fortnight and im getting ready to chuck the petrol tank back in, so i charged the battery and put it in, went to turn over the engine, nothing. all the auxiliaries work, no fuses are blown. i tried 3 other batteries (one out of the coily thats working) tried jumper leads. i can turn the engine over by hand so its not seized. was running perfect a fortnight ago when i parked it up and dropped the tank. im really stumped. help me out as im moving house soon and need the wheels to get around in. seized starter motor? |

The small gauge wire to the solenoid. The one I was talking about before. Try bypassing the original by disconnecting it and apply 12V to the terminal on the starter. |

Have to bridge a connection between the battery positive to that solenoid terminal. Easiest way would be the bridge where the battery connects to the starter using a piece of wire or screwdriver. If that don't work try bridging the two large terminals on the starter with your screwdriver. Be prepared for a spark or two. |

If you can try connecting the battery directly to the starter with jumper leads see how the goes |

Put the car in 1st gear and rock the car so the motor turns over a little. Then try again to start. Might be a sticky starter? Or get a hammer and using the wooden handle part give the solenoid a bit of a tap as well. Just my thoughts |
