Okay I pulled my diff apart to see what damage I have done in the jimmy. Lots of bad news and more money to spend. Just wondering could I carefully take a turbo disc to this spline to regrove it Or is it time for a new cv. 
Also here's the damage  Piece snapped out of the side
In this pic you can still see half of the inner race of the bearing.

Your spindle is fucked! Hub may be fine once you remove the rest of the outer race. Does the munted spline stop you from getting the FWH back on? |

Yea I know the spindle is fucked, alread got a wanted thread. Hub should be okay once I take the outer race out. No the fwh doesn't go on, first flattened bit stops it. |

keep the cv, chuck the rest got any of those parts from a sierra? I reckon you might be able to make em fit with a sierra cv on a jimny axle |

Sierra cv won't work as the shaft is alot smaller on a Jimny. So a sierra cv shaft won't go through the Jimmy spindle. A sierra cv and spindle might work if it bolts to the Jimny knuckle and the spindle is the same length as a Jimny one. |

sierra spindle is shorter so you really need the sierra cv in there to make it all work |

Is there a difference in diameter of a 1lt and 1.3l cv axle shaft. Is the 1lt smaller? If so that might fit into the Jimny spindle. Also will have to have the same inner cv spline count as a Jimny inner axle If not then I'll try source down a nother cv Might see if I can regrove the spline and use this cv first because I have a front locker going in on Monday and if I do break a cv atleast it's the old one and not a new one. |

There is nothing to be 'pressed'. The axles slide in and are held in by round edge circlips. I am not sure if standard Jimny axles are the same spline count. Don't know but cv joint and axles are alot smaller then the 1.3 sierra and far as I read Jimny cv joints are same as 1lt Sierra |

I have repaird many splines and threads just with needle files. Its not an ideal fix, but if there is only a few splines and only a small part of them damaged, its a way of reusing what you have. |

Edit: Not always needle files - depends on the size of the gooves/splines. I keep about 3 sizes of triangle and some others. |
