I run 245 75 16s but I put 205 60 16s on it for a week and made no real difference. Ever since I have had it , it has always been gutless but now the fuel usage is getting beyond rediculous driving down the hiway feels like its struggling big time flat out holding 110 especially up a slight incline it kicks back a gear when I think it shouldn't have to its automatic drive it up the highway the tailpipe is red hot almost that hot ya can't touch it |

Sounds like its running rich or timings to retarded. Have you tried different fuels? 91,95,98? Cleaned the injectors? tested fuel pressure? Vaccum leaks? |

Yep tryed all the fuels the 98 lasts a little longer but that's it I want to check the timing but I don't know how to get the signal off a 3 wire coil pack and doesn't the diagnostic plug have to be bridged? |

Take it to a mechanic that has all the correct gear and get them to reset the timing and clean your fuel injectors and Intake. |

^^^^ What he said, plus replace fuel filter too if you haven't already done so. If there is still no change I'm guessing timing. How many Kms per tank you getting? |

blocked catylatic convertor take to a muffler shop and get them to check it or just bash the guts out and refit. |

I wonder if the V6s have a problem with the crank pulley like the G16s do? It would be worth checking, as the same problem causes low power problems with G16s. How many kms has the engine done? Low power usually has me checking the compression. |

I checked the timing appears to be about 8deg advanced that should be ok? I'm checking the compression next |

If you go bogger tyres then put 512 diffs under it. Even if not going larger tyres fit the 512 diffs. If you don't, then forget about 5th gear all together. Also use 98 fuel in it and hit it with some injector clean (Double dose for first tank) NEXT TIME you take it for a hwy run of 200ks so it get a good run. After the 3rd tank full you should be getting to notice a performance differance. Take the timing up a bit as well but ALWAYS use 98 Fuel |

It will give you better gearing. I feel that they should have come out with them as standard, never met anyone that regreted doing it. |

Gutless as long as youve owned it Previous owner did a half job on fitting chains I think we know the answer here sometimes you just have to jump in and pull a heap of stuff apart to be sure, rather than fluffing with the easy to get at bits |

Yea in thinking the same thing I'm going to compression test it first then go from there |
