I'm hoping I've fixed my stalling at idle. I think the gasket under the carby had let go at the water jacket and let enough coolant in the inlet manifold to cause a misfire on idle. |

Overall was a bit of a sarger, tried jst about everything, even another carby. Then noticed the gasket on the old one was damaged at the point where water heats the base plate Yeh black shit & steam out of exhaust when things got real back, looked like a squid, now I have a steam cleaned engine & exhaust. Try disconnect water pipes from Y junction feeding base of carby but keep water going to top of carby, minor rerouting. If the gaskets gone you will remove the water but might let air in. |
