Hey guys,

I put this in last night and went for a short drive today. I was checking over everything after and found that the steering spacer has split. It would seem as though it was from over torquing the bolts but I didn't tighten them down to hard. you can also see on the second bolt in the picture that the head of the bolt is now inside the spacer. Have I royally f#%ked up?

Where did you get the spacer from? Could be a possible product fault?

Well that would be a first from Just_cruizin kit if it is split.
Yes I'm sure he will replace it. :-)
How old is it?
Be nice for you to send it back to him so he can look at it and work out what went wrong.
He's been selling them for years and I have never seen one split.

Ya I hadn't heard of people having problems with them so I figured it was my fault. I'll send him a pm.

Ya they're in there but they wernt as long as the spacer. I'm thinking that's why it split?

They are not suposed to be as long as the spacer. They should be around 1 to 2mm smaller that teh spacers. That way you don't over tighten.

Doesn't look over tightened going by the exposed thread. May be a uni joint issue. Happy to replace free of charge
