I have a 97 coily with a g16b 30"s and standard gearing.
To day I took her for a spin to the beach and I gave her a bit of a flogging on the way home.
I got 80km out of 2nd
I think it was at about 6 1/2 grand and about 120kh out of 3rd not shore about the revs lol

Just wondering if this is normal for a g16b

You do realise that with 30's and no gear reduction, your speedo is WAY out?

stock = 26"... your 30" prolly measures 29.5"... so 29.5 divided by 26 = 113.5% - so 100km/hr = 113.5km/hr and 60km/hr on the speedo is more like 68km/hr.

I really don't belong to this thread. I have a similar smile to a boy looking at some boobs for the first time every time I get to 100. And that's usually on a downhill
