will the normal g16a extractors clear the chassis, engine mount in a W/T sierra.

Unsure about the g16 extractors missing engine mount, but the g13 extractors and manifolds will bolt up.

Just need to make a longer peice on the exhaust so it clears the body under the car inlet I have no idea just run the g16a with the Sierra top hat and modify to fit

Do you mean Carby/8V G16? There are EFI 16V G16A's too - I have one.

If you mean carby/8V vitara, yes, the extractors and inlet manifold will bolt up. There should be no reason to modify the extractors - the deck height is slightly taller on the G16 but the exhaust should still clear everything - out's only about 13mm taller

yeah i meant carby 16a, i thought only 16b were 16 valve..

my original 13ba has a webber and modified inlet manifold + near new extractors so was hoping to bolt them straite on
to the 16a..
i now have the engine here and gaskets match up so should be all good.

thanks steve

zuki also has 2" body lift so i guess underbody clearence should be sweet.

sierra inlet manifold wont fit carby 16a as the fuel pump gets in the way.

? Really

I know the Vitara fuel pump is different, but didn't think the bolt pattern for the manifold was different. Could the sierra manifold be ground to clear?

possibly however i just put the vit manifold back on and put the sierra carby on it.

the G16 i had originally had a poxy falcon Weber on it and that was going no where near my car :)

all up and runin now,,

yes the 1.3 manifold hits the fuel pump, so a little grinder attack and it slips straite on..
not much but the 1.6 manifold ports are actually a few mill biger than the 1.3 manifold..

i had allready ported out where the carby bolts on to the manifold to suit the webber ( it makes quite a difference)
as i tried it both ways.

1.6,webber , extractors, 2'' exhaust.. deffinatly has more torque now than the 1.3. but doesnt seem to rev as hard (cam next)

Which is the effect of 13mm more stroke - they won't rev as hard.

Whats the highest rev range you would take a 16a to?

1.6 With webber and exhaust, mine has torque straite away but only likes to rev to 5500rpm
rebuilt 1.3ba with webber, cam, exhaust. puck all torque but happily reved to 7000rpm

Clutch in, next gear, clutch out.
