Has anybody had any experience with these? It looks like they will give me the flexibility I want with a true neutral for flat towing and being able to use low range in 2wd. I will appreciate any info. Regards Macca |

I made some for my vit it's great I drive around in 2wd low most of the time then just put it in 4wd as needed Also allows me to move trailers around easier I think they should chane the ADR so all 4wds have it |

For flat towing, consider a rear disconnect. I have heard the twink sticks have issues jumping out of gear? But I dont know the truth to it, perhaps someone with experience will pipe up? |

If your twin sticks are set up right they don't jump out of gear. Rear disconnect is the way to go. |

I flat tow my zook behind my motorhome and destroyed the 1.3 because I did not put the Transfer into neutral properly. I have not worked out what revs it was pulling at 110kms in 2nd gear but it thoroughly ventilated the block before I did 30ks. I have since fitted a GTI 1.3 AND 2X Lockrites and like the idea of being able to use low range in 2wd because of the difficulty steering in 4wd. That way I will only use 4wd when necessary. Is my thinking flawed? |

Mine is a NT with hand brake on the back of the transfer, can I fit the rear disconnect? |

Not with the handbrake in place. Two of us in the Vic club have a rear disconnect. It's cooler to brag about than it is to use- there is barely ever enough front end grip to make it work. As for twin sticks and popping out of gear, what does "set up properly" mean? The moment the interlock detent ball is removed it's possible to fall out of high range into neutral. I've had it happen with a stock shifter with the detent ball removed. How are twin sticks superior at preventing this? I run a TT twisted T and it runs the interlock detent. The only solution IMHO. I had twins and one stick. Neither jumped out of gear on me, in guessing your stick might be hitting the trans tunnel, or your boot was pulling it back or your springs holding the BB against it in the tcase was shagged and needed replacing. And even with a denten ball you can shift from high to nutural.... Just cause something was true for your car and expereince doesn't mean that others have had this issue. |

I have the first set of Evil twin sticks Locktup brought into the country and I have NEVER had it jump out of gear. I wouldn't be surprised if that was a rumour compounded from people have the stick contact the body, sure it's possible but it's never happened to me in many years of having the twins. One thing that sucks though is the lack of a proper boot, the hacked up glove method is just a pain, for that reason alone I think the Trail Tough Twisted T is a better option. I got the Evil Twins given to me for free by the Locktup boys and back then the Twisted T never existed, I would go the Twisted T these days. I find them only benificial when my arms are getting tyred from steering a front locked rig. |

I have the detent ball removed from one of my cases and just using the standard single stick it's possible to shift between 2H > 4H > N > 4L or 2L It's been shelved for a while but never popped into neutral or anywhere else even though I was told it would. I love having the 2L option. |
