is there a way change the tie rods (think thats what they're called) on the drag link? mine are absolutely f**ked, and its the last thing i gotta fix to get a RWC. drivers sides obvious and easy, unscrew the old one... but passenger side seems like you have to replace the whole bludy thing... if they cant be fixed, where can i get a good quality new drag link? would rather pay a few extra dollars for a good one, but dont wanna pay ridiculous amounts...

The suzistore units are maruti and are significantly weaker than suzuki made items....

I would be looking to get something made, that will let you replace the ends if you plan on keeping it for awhile. Get it made stronger at the same time so you dont have to worry about bending it... I think OFFROAD_SOLUTIONS on here made one up for someone....

The kit comes with 2 Heavy duty solid steel arms (30mm DIA) fully adjustable toyota tie rod ends, machines knuckles and pitman arm ( for the MUCH larger yota TRE's) with sexy zinc plated finish.

I didn't think that was too bad for under $600

bludy hell, i should have waited... i just went ahead and bought from suzistore as soon as it was mentioned. too eager to get the car back on the road. had it for a month and other than the drive home i've only driven it once so bought from the first place i could find. none of the local stores even had listings for it.

did a search on the forum, only searched in 'suzuki talk', didnt think about business directory

I didn't bother looking for a T.R.E. that has a larger shank, but same sized taper, as they will undoubtedly be hard to find, and thus rather expensive. The 75/ 80 series T.R.E.'s that I'm using keep the price WAY down. So much so, that its cheaper to ream the tapers +1mm to suit.

Standard sierra shank is M16. These are M22 and M23.

jesus, i ordered this monday night (after business hours so would have been processed tuesday) and it was here when i got home from work today. so 1 day from western australia to queensland for a tie rod assembly, and only $35 postage! was more expensive to have it posted the slower way. work that one out...
