Everyone, I need a bit of info. I'm currently doing a 1.9TDi conversion on my Sierra and am wondering if someone can. Help me with the bell housing of the gearbox. Is this a removable bell housing? Or is it a one piece module off the gear box. I can see myself having dramas mating it to the new engine, but in saying that, they mate them somehow in the overseas market samurais. Any help appreciated. |

Not removable mate. Its a split case, with removable rear extension housing. Just buy the 1.9TD adaptor kit from the states, and save yourself a massive headache! Link. http://www.rocky-road.com/diesel.html |

Yeah cheers fatzook, not long after the post, I got my Suzuki EPC working and found the gearbox diagram. Luckily, I've found a new 1.9TD gearbox( well the case assy) to fit the engine I have already, so things are looking good. From what I see and Suzuki tell me, it will bolt directly on the 1.3 case extension. Time will tell I guess. As for the rest, its just a case of buying parts for the engine bay. Fortunately, I have made a contact overseas who can supply everything so it's all about the $$ now. I think looking at rocky road and what I've spent, illl probably go a little over their price, purely due to freight costs. |
