Post subject:  Info on Air Locker & NT Diff Centre

Hi All
I am in WA Goldfields just completed the Anne Beadell Highway and I'm positive I have damaged the rear driver side gear (auto locker setup) for second time in 12 months.

What I need to confirm does the air locker setup replace original pumkin with new spider gears etc.

I have to make a choice of either ordering side gears from lowrange or source a NT diff centre from Perth Wreckers (wont confirm condition plus high price) ,or spending the extra and install air locker kit on side of road and worry about the vaccum setup at later date.
Thanks
Ian

Yes, an air locker is a complete centre replacement.

If you have an MG410 as in your signature, and it is a Narrow Track, then ARB don't make an Air Locker for it. You need to change over to 1.3 litre diff housings and diff centres, but the ratio is 3.9 instead of your 4.1, so you need to do front and rear together. But you tiny avatar pic looks like you've got a fairly tricked out Maruti, does it still have the original diffs/axles?

And did you find much gold out there?

It has NT 3.9 locked diffs, 1.6 efi, 12ply tyres but at present I have either broken a pin or side gear in rear diff, still drives but occasionally I lose drive action and get ratchet sound
It happened why doing a u turn and didn't relise rear wheel had become loose causing aloud bang and lockup.
I havn't pulled apart until I get to major regional location at moment sourcing options as I do have original internal gears but have misplaced side gears.
