i was just surfing the net and reading about weber carbs and heir apparent hill climb/descent issue and i found this write up http://board.marlincrawler.com/index.php?topic=46859.msg588356#msg588356 has anyone seen this before or better yet tried it out? |

That is a common fix to "improve" the capability of the weber carb but it wont fully cure it on the really steep stuff. The positioning of the float bowl and how the metering system is setup is the inherent issue with them. If you could mount it 90* on the manifold it would run a lot better on the steep stuff! |
