7" rims are to wide for 215's. Not sure if you can get 6" wide rim's, but if you can look for a rim with a slightly negative off-set NOT positive. You want to increase you track width after lifting a 4wd

or just stay with ur factory rims, they work pretty good with 215's

-VE offset will push the wheel out from the car giving a wider wheel track, +VE offset will bring them in reducing the wheel track.

-VE is the one that you are after, particularly if you are lifting the car. -13 is a pretty common offset to works well on the Jimny. But as monley said, 7" is too wide so stick with the stock unless your changing it for looks

Bill shit. I was driving a jimny today with 15x7 0 off set and they don't hit.

i will be going some 31x10.5 on some 15x8 -23 offset. got a 3" lift and have defender extended arches. to fit them in, with extensive original arch cutting.

I have 15 x 6 with close to 0 offset (+3 I think) and 217/75's. No clashed with steering and no scrubbing.

Don't forget those rims you have are a different shape at the back compared to a steel rim Phil. Let's not confuse people here with different fact's.... :)

My rims are 7" with -5 offset (roughly). I think they fit perfectly for up to 235/75R15. They don't cause any clashing.
Also don't stick out of the flares which is good when the law comes up behind you ;)
They do bring the tyres in line with the outer face of the flare.
