Hi I am thinking about a 3" lift from jimnybits and wondering if you need to get the castor corrected radius arms or will the correction bushes do?

hey man, i have a 3" lift and caster correcting bushes and they barely provide enough castor. If you have the money for the arms get them and an added bonus it that you will probably never brake them. Make sure you get a RTC steering dampener kit as well and make sure it is compatible for RIGHT HAND DRIVE :)

If your geting the Jimny bits lift your better of geting the arms to go with it.
There alot stronger then the stock radious arm but you will loose abit of ground clearance.

I just fitted 2.5 degree Castor correction to my 40mm lift Jimny at the weekend. Many people will say you don't need Castor correction on a small lift but they are wrong - ignore and do the best thing and fit some. 2.5 degree was just about right on my jimny with only 40mm, so 3 inch has got to need Radius arms I guess, but i don't know.

All I know is many told me you don't need castor correction up to 50mm lift, but with only 40mm my steering was a bit light when going round u-bends, or tight corners, and tyres were starting to show visible signs of uneven ware around the outside edges. Not to mention banana shaped coils and you could visible see the negative caster when on full lock. That's just rubbish. $180 later and I think I have neutral, or maybe slightly positive castor, both of which are far better then negative.

Steering is a bit heavier now and it tracks much better around the round abouts, less understeer. Jimny needs all the help it can get in the handling department and dodgey negative castors ain't going to do them much good.

If you can afford them get the arms, benefits are worth it.

just fitted castor coretion bushers (ironman 2 deg correction) to the jim it has 2inch coil spacers (tough dog) the stearing is heaps better and plenty of pos castor now, but still has the death wobble at 80km/h any one got a fix for that.

set the toe in at around 3mm overall.
