posting on behalf of mudbutton. he got bogged in deep mud last weekend now his clutch or gearbox is playing up. 1. it wont select first unless turned off. 2. wont change down gears ( coming to traffic lights he has to turn car off and start again at 1st) 3. wont idle in gear with clutch in. it wants to keep driving. 4. changes up gears fine clutch was replaced not to long ago so should still be good. has anyone had this problem before if so how do we fix it as he wants to come out on a run this weekend. cheers Ricky. |

This is common when mud gets into clutch. Carry a few 2l bottles of water and after going through mud and the clutch doesn't work remove the timing plug near bellhousing, start engine and squirt water at clutch while someone else pumps the pedal. 3 of us had to do this at Glasshouse after a boghole. |
