The later wide track leafy Sierra's also have a collapsible steering column. Mine is a 1992 model and it did. The 4 plastic pins that you need to drill out are painted black also can be a little tricky to locate.

I am running vitara crank pulley and water pump pulley, vitara PS lines, steering box and reservoir, multi rib belt and BenT adapter kit. Its a pretty easy job. I know its the other side of town for you but if you want to rip a power steer setup out of a vitara there is one at http://www.jollysupullit.com.au/eziparts/Display_Vehicle.asp?PriceListID=0&VehicleID=497647&Location=jollysupullitcomau&VehicleDesc=Suzuki%20Vitara%20TA01C (note: that vitara has a 5 digit odo so there is no way yo tell how many kms are on it.)

I bought the setup out of the other vitara there, was $111 for the complete setup.

Power steer conversion is also the perfect time to upgrade to the falcon alternator as well if you haven't already.

im gunna keep an eye out for all the parts i neeed....i have searched but cant really find a list of what i will need! i hear jimny boxs are better then vitara but more work? any way what do i need? ben t kit powerstreering box what else? cheers

If you get a complete setup of a g13bb jim everything should fit straight on. You can even bend the jim hardlines up to work. Collapsible steering shafts are available off later model WTs

I got a complete G13BB jimny power steering box/lines/res/pump for $280 from a wrecker. jim's are stronger too.

i completed my power steer in my last sierra using the vitara box,pump n res about a month before i saw the BenT kit become available lol,that sucked. was the best mod to the little zuk,loved it the jim boxes are much easier/bolt in but a bit dearer usually when you find them looking at the grill on your rig in the above pic you will have the collapsible column anyways

BenT kit, collapsible steering column if you don't have one, you have the updated grille so you might have one. Only other thing is a bracket to mount the power steer reservoir.

So perhaps the best solution is instead of asking the same thing over and over (and getting the same answer) find a picture of the bits and ask what they are called? From what I can see from the ebay ad, you still need the pump mounting bracket. I can't see it in the pic from the seller. Steve.

Main crank pulley, The belt closest to the front is the power steer belt. The length of this belt will depend on if you have an 8v or 16v vit crank pulley The gold coloured wedge is the adaptor for the BenT kit, this would form a large portion of the cost of the kit to machine this spacer it is a fair chunk of metal. The piece of gold SHS to the right is the radiator spacer. you will need to drill 2 new hols in the radiator to mount it back in a close to stock position. This allows the radiator to clear the steering box The shaft down the bottom above the split loom in the pic is the steering column. If yours looks like it is one tube that slides into another then it is collapsible This is the power steer box. You will have to bend the vit lines to meet up to it correctly. The sierra chassis rails are narrower so they well need to be bent at the other end too. The power steer reservoir mounted off the jack holder. I need to make a diagonal brace for mine to is doesnt wobble round so much. The black bracket that comes with the BenT kit is to mount the power steer bracket to the block as seen in the far left below. This should help. The BenT instructions are quite good but do not have pics so this shoudl aid in your installation.

Thats ok, it is all pretty straightforward the hardest part is bending up the lines. You could bend a coathanger to the same shape as the vitara lines to make as a practice one so you dont fatigue the steel lines and kink them. I had the front bumper and grille off to get a bit more access. I have a P clip which holds the lines to the front chassis crossmember with a bit of rubber around the lines so they dont rub against the crossmember.
