Damn cavity wax just sounds to much like a personal lube to be using in the fourby...
Lanolin is great stuff & should be pretty damn good.

I went in search of cavity wax today but came home empty. Where do you get this stuff? Also - is fish oil fish oil, or are there good and bad products? I want to sort a few potential rust spots and cavities in the soft top, especially in the tray area of my Sierra where I found the rust before. Just wondering is fish oil, cavity wax, or lanolin the best option... and is there any real difference between them - i mean, they're all designed as a preventative and not a cure, but my car's neat enough where I don't have to resort to POR15 just yet. Which do you guys use? |

Did you check your ears? Sorry had to be said that's the first thing I thought of when I read cavity wax! Wouldn't you be better off with either rust converter or proper repair and rust preventative paint? |

my brother years ago, went to some mob in brissy that fill the chassis rails with cavity wax and other common rust areas, they have a database with an insurance mob and could see the common areas each model of 4wd would get rust and concentrate on those areas, cost him $800 and he drove it on the beach every weekend to go to his hang gliding spot, sold it many years later rust free, not sure who does it though. |

Cavity wax itself isn't a rust proofing solution. It should be used over the top of whatever you use for rustproofing, to seal it up. I buy mine from Supercrap. |

I've pulled each panel and rustproofed my car from top to bottom and it's now top coated in camo green, but prevention is better than cure. I just want something to squirt inside the doors and into the unreachable bits i can't access... to be sure, to be sure. Cavity wax seems pretty hard to track down here in the west. Been to a couple of SCAs, Repco, Bunnings and none stock it. |

ERPS have a good cavity spray. I'm sure it would be a rebrand of something else though. I've used fish oil, cavity wax, and lanolin. I like lanolin the best. Some brands of cavity wax dry thin and scratch easy. Fish oil stinks, even the deodorised ones. |

Bunnings do something by penetrol? I think. I've used that it seamed pretty good. Its meant to spread into hard to reach places |
