so i put a g16a (carby) into my sierra about a month or 2 ago.. the rear main crank seal was leaking so i put a new rear seal and sump gasket sealant on.. engine has been runin fine for a month and no oil leaks anywhere, plenty of power and runs superquiet. just got home and there is oil leaking all over rear main & front crank seal and oil, water is fine.. option 1 : should i pull it out and get bottom end rebuilt hoping its just the crank and no (common)cracks in the block (as water and oil is not mixed) option 2 : i can get another runing g16A for 3-$400, throw it in and hope that its a good engine. |
