Ok so im looking into putting a jimny diff up the front of my coily, but after two hours of searching i cant find any info. My questions are.... Are the trailing arms a straight swap? What about the centers? And im pretty sure i seen something on here saying chromos are avalible for the jimny but i wanna double check anyway. Other then that is it just a matter of cutting the old strut tower off and welding the jimny one on?? Any help would be awesome, Thanks. |

I can't help you with the technical but I know that both tuffcoily and ZookiMonsta have done it. You could try Pm'ing them and asking or else this is the link to ZookiMonsta's build: viewtopic.php?f=4&t=10041&start=210. |

I think they bolt in but you need swap coil mounts. I have a complete jimny front diff here for sale aswell |

How much for that diff? And would that include the top chassis mount? |

Not saying it won't fit but being a coily front centers might not be able to be swapped Also Jimny being 4.3 I think, you'll have to find a 4.3 center for the rear because coily are 3.9 |

This swap never made sense to me. You do away with the coily front end, and put one in that is just as fragile, and expensive to up-spec. Off the shelf cromos are still a little while off, and I can say with some confidence....they will never be as cheap as WT sierra ones. You still run the un-gearable High pinion front centre ( which is the same size as a 1L sierra). You still have the same weak and poorly designed raius arms as the coily, and the only benifit is the upper coil buckets, which IMO are a piontless mod unless you address the other issues with the factory design. |

After doing this mod and using it for quite a while I totally agree with Fatzook here... Yes the car works and handles better than a standard coily but going a WT front diff would of made much more sense. I will be putting in a WT front diff as well as changing the limited radius arm front end design very shortly. |

Not saying this is the only way, but its another option. And for little more work than the Jimny diff, the pay-off is much greater IMO. http://auszookers.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=4&t=8149&hilit=whore&start=660 The good stuff starts on pages 28. |
