Post subject:  chassis lift or spring lift ?????

I have a LWB suzuki vitara, I have some slightly bigger than standard tyres they are rubbing in the back guard and pulling the lip out. Just wondering what type of lift to do ???

Body lift will help, spring lift won't. Hammer on the seam to flatten it out for now

a spring lift would help, just not as much as a body lift

spring lift raises the chassis higher from the wheels

where as body lift raises the body from the chassis

for more clearance during compression travel go body lift

if you hitting on a chassis piece like where your body attaches go a spring lift

if all else fails go the BFH it never fails

Dunno about you but I compress my suspension when wheeling.

:?: :?: :?: :?:

Pretty sure it was clear in the OP that the tyre was hitting the guard.

Cutting, bumpstop spacing or body lift are the answer. Spring lift will only "help" at the mall. Flex the suspension and spring lift makes no difference to tyre/guard clarence.*

what sized tyre are you running on what rim. i ran a king spring lift which is about 40mm and long commo shocks and my 235 on stock rims fit in the back of my lwb vit with out scrubbing and now with a 3" lift they only just rub the body just above the chassis which is flat and doesnt chew the tyre. now with 7" rims with a neg 13 offset no srub at all. so when every body says the spring lift wont help it helped mine.
