I have put an F10a into a Lj stockman, seams the stearing link rubs the sump, do i change the sump/cut it weld it or is it a engine mount issue? |

thanks, That was the first option, F8a sump had the same issue I suspect it was from a different machine - or engine mount issue, before i got it someone bashed the sump in - put a hole in it then filled it with devcon/putty. |

Well... don't use that sump then. If you use an LJ sump use an LJ pickup too. Which steering arm BTW? |

Can you post some pics of the mounts, also does it look like the mounts on the chassis have been rewelded (may have had a toyota or something in it at sone stage) |

Definitely need pictures (engine mounts, steering, sump, etc). This "should" be a very easy conversion! |

I have put 16mm nuts under the engine mounts so the sump has a slight clearance to the drag link, the 16mm nuts lifted the engine 15mm, now the dizzy hits the bonnet its at a angle approx. 120 deg - and I assume it should have the adaptor plate from the F8a to make it at 90 deg. photos should be up. |

it seams the sump is on backwards but the bolt holes only allow the sump to fit one way. |

You need to use the F8 dizzy housing on the back of the head. You can see mine below, the dizzy should be pointing out the passenger side:  Old photo, you can see that the sump should have the drop on the front:  You have to use the F8 pickup as well. The bolt holes for the sump should line up.....
