Post subject:  Rocker shaft bolts?

I have had a minor water leak from the head for a while now so i decided to retorque all the headbolts and see if that fixed it.

Well after taking the valve cover off i was met with all but 1 rocker shaft bolts loose and one missing
This is much like zookfans situation...

Rang around the usual part shops and none of them have any clue what a rocker shaft bolt was let alone if they had one in stock

i think my only option is to go to the bolt shop.

Does anyone know what the size and pitch of these bolts are?

6x10mm countersunk screw. Replace them with allen head screws so you can tighten them properly.

Got a few here if you can't find any.
Make sure you clean the holes with a solvent, then dry well, then use thread locking goo.

Centrepunch peen helps too.

Thanks ill get some later this week.

Im really surprised no damage was done... there was only one bolt on the back of each shaft that was actually tight.
