I just went to take a high beam feed from my Jimny headlights to run a relay for my spotties.

Unplugged the 3 wire socket from the back of the passenger side light and went about testing to see which was ground, low beam and high beam.

Well f**k me if there isnt 12V on all 3 wires! Confirmed with a multimeter. Just to royally screw with my head, the 3 wires have 12V EVEN WITH THE HEADLIGHTS OFF and light up the test lamp (dimly but still lit). All three wires will trip the relay at all times headlight on or off.

I though CHRIST I"VE F**KED SOMETHING UP and plugged the headlights back in to make sure it's OK and sure enough it works just fine.

WHAT IS WRONG WITH MY BRAIN HAVE I LOST MY MARBLES :?:

Can I please confirm that anyone else in their right mind would have expected the three wires going into the headlight bulb to have been GND, 12V Low beam and 12V high beam.

WHAT IS THIS MAGIC!?

In case it isnt obvious i'm very frustrated that a simple job has now not got finished in the small amount of time I had available for 'playing' :rambo:
