235s on 15x7s, with neg 13 are about what you can fit without a heap of cutting.

I have coopers 225x70x15 and in my opinion it's slightly to large for stock jimny gearing. It's not to bad on the road with take offs needing a little more revs, but offroad is where you will find either slipping/frying the clutch or having to carry to much momentum in technical uphill sections and being a little hard on the jimny as a result. This is my opinion only and whilst my jimny has done over 300k kms yours may be easier or have better clutch etc. I am currently in the middle of tyre upgrade and reduction gears, new hd clutch, another gearbox as mine is worn out etc all because of this reason. Not a cheap path to go down but hopefully will be worth it?
