I am going to do a swap for a fuel injected g16a in my sierra and was wondering with a full engine rebuild with cams pistons ecu etc how much power am i going to make n/a from the 100hp or so stock engine. Please do not say to make it forced induction cause im only on my Ps and a long way away from blacks. |

Jake. Engine conversion illegal on p's. Most G16a's are carb. Your after a G16b. A G13b (gti) or bb (jimny) doesnt need enginering and are efi. Probably a better option as its just an engine number change. |

but will i get a substancial power increase from that. And its not like a cop is going to pull me over and start checking numbers to see that my engine is different, a turbo on the otherhand is gonna stick out like dogs balls. i just want some serious power/torque. |

On topic, when I pull my 16b powered Sierra off the road when I get a new workute. Is there much gains to be had from a worked rebuild. Or am I better off going with a standard good quality rebuild and keeping to that. The Sierra will be getting retired to weekend toy use. The extra power would be nice but if it is piss all I'd rather reliability! |
