Just finished my long week of rust removal, prepping, bogging, sanding, grinding and some more bogging and sanding. Painted this morning... I must say I now have IMMENSE respect for spray painters, they make it look easy and it really isnt Took my time in setting up gear and test panels etc, at the end the finish is just average. now im not complaining because it is just a sierra For $300 odd im quite happy, i hate bog and its looks gay (mostly because i gave up on sanding it) but its 200% better then what is was and it should keep the rust away for a few years. ![]()

Nice work! At least you weren't scared to have a go! And yup LOTS of hard work! I had a RX3 that my mate(spray painter/panel beater) and I stripped back to the shell and reworked/massaged/lead wiped seam welded etc etc to a show car finish.....took over 18months in my garage most weekends and I was happy with the result.... He thought it was average:( 2 weeks after putting it back together my great Dane decided to follow me into the garage, tail wagging happy as could be! 6 dents in passenger door and quarter panel....... My mate still has the shits after 6yrs now! Lol |
