I'm looking at fitting a roof rack permanently to Overdrive (02 GV) Reason is for ease when we decide to go out for a day trip. With chairs, esky/fridge etc etc we can't fit it all in the back being a family of 4. Currently I have a roof basket that I can either secure directly to the roof rails or fit the X bars and secure it to them. While it works a treat, ideally I'd like to get a rack that bolts directly to the roof in place of the roof rails as I think it will end up looking nicer and it would be a little lower as well I think. Have looked at cargo boxes, flat platforms and so on from rhino etc and wondered if there were any options I may have missed. |

The only off the shelf solution I know if is by ODA, but it has a pretty steep price tag to match. I purchased a full length alloy rack from tigerz11 with the same aim. Just need to get creative with some mounts for it now. |

Im using an alloy one from a cruiser. Perfect width. Just measure up how wide you want it then go ebay hunting. |
