Can anyone inform me whether a CALMINI Double Tube Rear Bumper would fit an 85 sierra 1.3 LWB? I emailed CALMINI but of course they never had NTs or LWB so they couldn't tell me much.

Cheers

Oh btw this is it on Lowrange's website

http://www.lowrangeoffroad.com/index.ph ... umper.html

Are there any other suitable options that would fit without breaking the bank?

I have a ZOR bumper from lowrange on my lwb and I had to mod the chassis a little to make it fit. The back bit of the chassis is a little different between a swb and a lwb

If you are going to import a bumper at least get one that looks good.

I hear you, but this one is 500 landed as opposed to 1500. For a beat old car I can't justify that much for a bumper. If only TSOR were selling one. What sort of mods did you have to make? I can't weld or really do much fabricate besides drilling and some cutting hence why i didn't just make my own bumper.

In all honesty, the bars most people knock up at home don't look any better than that Calmini bar.

Its unlikely to fit a LWB very well. I'd bet that the Calmini bar bolts to the towbar mounting holes on the WT chassis, and they're not present on the NT/LWB. IT might be possible to mount it on the chassis ends, but it's going to be a bit of an experiment.

The bumper I have bolts to the body mount bolts under the tailgate seal and the swb towbar mounts at the bottom of the chassis, I just welded a bit of plate to the bottom of the chassis for the bottom bumper mounts

Mine currently has a towbar mounted through two holes in the bottom of each of the two chassis rails. Did the previous owner perhaps drill them there to match a SWB towbar? Also there is a 'tie down' point welded to the chassis that somewhat blocks access to the chassis. Is this normal also? I could manage with cutting and drilling holes in flat bar if necessary though. Just realised that ZOR make their rear bar without the tire and gas can mounts. That appears like a better option.
