Hi all,

I have a leaky radiator and I'm looking for recommendations. Would you get a radiator repaired? Or would you simply replace it? Brand new or "reconditioned" 2nd hand?

I'm leaning towards getting it repaired because I own a god damned coily and finding a replacement radiator could be difficult (and expensive). Either that or "forcefully" install a leafy radiator (which I've been told can be done)

Thoughts?

How bad the damage to the radiator would indicate whether or not it's worth fixing now wouldn't it?

IMO don't bother with repairing a leaky one. Replace it with a new one and enjoy the reliability you will have for the next 5 years.

Tried all the Brisbane-based Suzuki shops?

Also, I have a leafy radiator in one of my coilies and it doesn't take too much effort to fit...

Wheres the leak? I soldered/brazed the seam on mine with a supercheap torch and solder. Lasted for years until I upgraded.

How about a bit more info......

Is it a copper/brass rad or a plastic/ally job?
Where is it leaking?
How old is it?

It's not plastic, could be copper/brass? (noob alert haha)

It's leaking down the drivers side, on the fan side. I've "sealed" it but this obviously is not a permanent fix.

I only bought the car in, like, June. So dunno how old it is. It's looks old...
