Gday guys. Story is... Back end of the gearbox was broken. I've got a spare, so I pulled the back end of the box off to put the spare on. Once I pulled the original one off I could spin the output shaft freely. I then put the new one on but now the output shaft seems jammed. It did take a bit of getting on the first time. There is no play in it whatsoever. The other issue is when I put the gearstick in, it slots in ok but seems jammed. I'm thinking that the 3 shafts coming out of the box are in the incorrect position. Does anybody have any ideas? Or any photos to show what position the linkages should be in before putting three back of the box back on? Cheers Paul |

If you look down the hole that the gear stick goes in you should see a rectangle, this is neutral. There is a picture on here somewhere but I can't find it, if no one has found it by this arvo I'll get one. |

Thanks Jackson. I'm at work now (wear my spare gearbox is) and had a bit more of a look. Looking from the back, the left hand link I can get to slide in and out freely (engaging and disengaging the gearbox I'm assuming). Whether it's in or out I have some play in the gears. All good. With the box at home there is no play whatsoever. I can't move a thing. Something within the case may have jammed? Cheers |

Make sure you have the rectangle between the two shifters before you put the stick back in. Also make sure You ahaves bush inside there as well. If nothing moved then you have a bigger problem inside. |

Sorry, I intended to do this yesterday but here is what it should look like (Mine doesn't have the shifter housing on there but you get the idea) ![]() Though if it's jammed like you mentioned above it is probably more serious. If the stick goes in easily and you can wiggle it side to side across the gates then it is lined up properly if you can move it forward or back to select a gear something else might be going on. |

Thanks Jackson. Had a look at it last night. Took the top off the gearbox and the 3 rods were jammed. Don't know why or how but they were. Swapped the top over with the spare I had, made sure everything was in the correct position and came up a treat. Cheers, Paul |
