OKAY, QUESTION.....

Need to make my car 3" lift...
I currently have a 2" lift with Como shocks and 2" kings in rear, And up front i have just 2" kig springs... so basically stock flex up front..

So i need to inprove my kit,

EITHER:

A: Get a 3" Calmini kit = $1200 - 1300
(Sell king springs and Calmini rear shocks - keep using como shocks as ive heard they are better)
PROS - New A-ARMS, Struts and rear arms..
CONS - Cost...

OR...

B: The Bits4Vits lift in PIC = $700ish

PROS: Cheaper with same amount of lift.
CONS: Still using Stock struts, A-Arms and Rear arms

Please put a reason why if possible :)

What will you do about castor and rear axle forward shift with the B4V gear?
(Calmini didn't do enough of either for me, but just sayin'...)

You forgot something, the calmini struts are rubbish also. Not just the rear shocks.

Seems like a lot of cost and effort for 1" of lift, why bother?

The extra lift does help.. i have 3" shocks in atm to, so the spring is loose on full flex

Wat about the new kit the guy on zuki world is building
Shits allover the calmini stuff
His using fox shocks with a bracket and new strut brace to use as struts
http://www.zukiworld.com/forum/general- ... rsidekick/
I wouldnt go coilover with out bracing the tower and a bumpstop

Cant find a where to buy the kit,

Seems more work, for same amount of flex (unless i got the 4 1/2")

Doubt i would be able to engineer it either

i posted pics/build thread to that in bigrig's build thread the other day... looks like a bit of a hokey set up, i'm guessing that's why GBW like it.

massive bumpstops in the front & none in the rear :?

don't here this that often.

The rear as of now. The Calmini springs are way too stiff, and I need to raise the upper shock mounts a couple inches.

Option E: Bodylift it instead and spend the $500 - $1000 you save on a locker.

You'll get more sill clearance than either of the others, and you'll be able to fit bigger tyres to give better diff clearance also.

I ran a 2" + 2" lift in my old SV for years and it was great.

lol ignore me then

What are you trying to achieve? I'd put the money towards a locker before I bought the calmini kit. Will get you a hell of a lot further down the track than a smidge more extra flex

Post subject:  Re: Suspension upgrade - Vitara

I have 3" shocks in for extra travel.

My springs are only 2" and are loose at full flex.
My front has STOCK EVERYTHING other then 2" springs.. so no flex at all in the front
So i need to fix the setup, and may aswell get the extra bits while i do it instead of doing the Sus for a 4th time...

Locker will be $1900, and will get one when i get a steel diff

The 3" for Price: $859.99?

Thats the same stuff as my bits4vits but more money :/

And i still dont get new struts...

Or the 4.5" which i doubt i can get engineered

Post subject:  Re: Suspension upgrade - Vitara

Why not get some GV springs for the rear, lifted struts for the front, and camber bolts. Make some bump stop extenstions and you could have change out of $600 and you can save the rest for the locker...

Front springs or spaces,
Diff drop brakets,
tail shaft and ball joint spacer
