I've just ordered an M18A from New Model Wreckers to be shipped across to Perth and am thinking it might be a good time to upgrade the alternator.
I have a 2009 Jimny with a new dual battery system which at times will have to supply multiple big hunting spotlights and an 80L Engel. I have only recently bought the Jimny and have yet to challenge the stock alternator.
The EL/EF falcon alternator 110amp costs ~$180 on ebay at the moment.

Has anyone done the alternator conversion on a M18A yet? Should it be a the same as a M13A install?

Cheers,
Byron

Can't see it being a problem... Block etc is the same from what I've read. What year model is the m18? I thought you had to have an engine the same age as the car or newer when you swap them out, or is that maybe only in NSW???
