what is the size socket needed for the big nut washer thing in the hubs when changing wheel bearings?

Try to get a socket that has teeth all the way to the edge..... Sounds funny :crazy:

but some don't and will work well for the outside nut but will slip on the inside one.

Toyota is 52mm...

I have even used a 55,, pipr socket on them, and achieved the required torque settings as outlined in the sevice manual.

Its not best practice by any means, but it works....

Sounds dodgy, but to get me out of trouble once at work we used a bigger sized socket and just ran a small strip of steel around the nut. Still worked too :lol:
