Who would be keen on some GV sliders from FATZOOK. We may be able to get him to fry some up if we get enough interest. So far

- Alexxx - no trim
- CHOPolator - no trim
- wagola (possible) - no trim
- ninjamoses - no trim
- macdaddy - no trim

GET INTO IT!!!!

Common gv owners. Fatzook is doing us a wild deal. Let's all support him!!!

Rough estimate of $465.00 inc GST per set of LWB GV sliders. (price based on 4 sets being made at once. May even drop slightly  )

This price does not include paint or powder coating. Powder coating can be arranged at extra cost, and there may be a small packaging fee to cover the extra time and materials to ensure it gets to you in the same condition I left it.

All hardware/ bolts etc supplied.

What style sliders are they Pete? Like your awesome Sierra sill mount ones or chassis mount tube style?

Post subject:  Re: Calling all GV owners EOI

Yep I'm in, either style suits me (replacement rocker style or the more common tube style).

Are they being made to fit with the standard plastic sill cover still in place or is the plan to remove/replace it (like on Bruce's old GV - viewtopic.php?f=4&t=93&hilit=bruce&start=30)?

X 2
I am in as well... Armsup

If they replace the plastic sills, that would be great, as they hang to low anyway, and just find every rock they can, which is why mine are so scratched up, so yeah, preference would be for them to replace the plastic sills... :D

Sorry guys, I can't do a body mounted slider for that sort of coin. The complex shape of the GV sill ( when compared to a sierra! ) means rolled or step bent components, and its gonna get very dear, very quickly!

As for the plastics, well that depends on what the group wants. Personally, I'd be removing them, which would allow for a higher clearance slider. But like I said, if the people want to keep the trims, thats fair enough.

Example.

They would need a centre leg between the top and bottom rails though. And the angle of the kicker bar would likely not be as aggressive as pictured above.

Post subject:  Re: Calling all GV owners EOI

My vote would be to remove the plastic covers also. Easy to do on the GV, just need to trim the bottom lip off the front wheel guards to get it flat across the whole bottom. Much easier to do (and keep it looking neat) than the earlier SV models.

Had a few beers when I posted last night so kind of forgot I had a body lift  If you can make my set 2" higher than the others without too much extra difficulty/cost than I'm still in.

Yep. Thats the beauty of making a Jig. You can make it adjustable Armsup

Should be very little extra work if the jig is built with BL in mind.

I'm sort of leaning to leaving the plastic sill on, for neatness. If mine was more of a shitter, then no plastic.

I'm interested but a little out of my price range. Keen to see how much the price can come down as more orders pile up.

Not much mate. Its already pretty lean.

If I were doing these as a one-off item they'd be more like $650. Just be thankfull you don't own a Patrol.... Others charge $800+, so something that is essentially the same size as a GV slider.

Post subject:  Re: Calling all GV owners EOI

Yep, my sill covers need repainting anyway so turfing them solves that problem
Reckon it would look even better if the sills underneath were painted silver also to blend in with the rest of the silver trim.

You were ahead of your time mate. There were quite a few nicely modded examples on here going back 4 or 5 years (yours, rikstrs, humzuki etc). :)

Without trim. Nothing but a mud and sand scoop those things.

Happy to take a look at it, but at the very least I'll need detailed pics of the chassis to ensure the mounts will clear cross members etc, and an over-all length would be nice too.
