I want some front guards for my lj80 iv found Weis designs but it seams hard to get them from him has any 1 got stuff from him before? and I found these guys http://www.extremebends.com/body-parts-lj80-c-110_111_24/sort/20a/page/1?zenid=f2960c39d1f21c10e5234261a2c3bc73. But does anyone know of where else I can get panels from

theres a fiber glass place in NZ that does panels too. but honestly your better off trying to find good second hand ones. |

http://www.citroa.com/suzuki/lj-80-series/ The guys do suzuki LJ80 to Sierra as well as old landcruisers. My mate has a BJ40 and asked about a few things. They replied and I remember the price being not too bad. They do pretty much everything except the firewall and trans tunnel. |

Cayden do you have any front guards at all? i have a front clip the guards are not perfect but maybe better then what you have. And i am not to far away from you. Jamie |

One of the guys in our club recently went to Japan and found ALL body parts are available from the factory. Now what the means for us here I don't know. Try ringing your local dealer with a chassis number or locate the nearest resin who can speak Japanese. |

I've tried ringing the dealer with a chassis number, ends in an argument with some young parts guy who reckons the number is too short. Having said that I did manage to buy pistons, rings amd an oil pump from a dealer at Springwood. (with patience) |

Modern VINs are a pretty complicated thing that tell you a lot about a car, they tell you specifically what model it is is, what plant it was made in, what year the vehicle was ect. That's why the dealer asks for the VIN. LJ "VINs" (actually body/chassis numbers) were before the standardized VIN system and just say the model then the build number. Eg LJ81 - 111895 is one I own. Early Sierras are like that too. |

Not only that, but Suzuki Australia never brought in LJ's to Australia and so they're probably not in their system. The LJ's that were sold new in Aust were distributed by official agents such as Ateco Holdings or M&W. Suzuki Australia only had responsibility for the Suzuki lineup of Bikes, Outboards and Stationary Engines up to 1997 when they bought out the other distributors and got the Motor Vehicle business. So expect to see little Suzuki Aust support for any vehicle pre-1997. |

In NSW at least (and likely other States, too), the Marutis were first brought out in 1989 by the licenced importers, Ateco. When their licence was bought out by Suzuki Australia in 1997, they continued the line of vehicles being imported as ADR approval had already been bought and paid for the agencies. As they continued to be bought by the market, Suz Aust continued selling them. I do have sales brochures published by SuzAust for the Maruti, but there is no date on them. But 1997/98 was a tough year with vehicles like the WagonR and X90 and Sierra (until the name re-appeared later on the Jimny!) disappearing from the Aust scene. When were the last Marutis sold in Aus? Wasn't it around this time? |
