Did a quick search....
Anyone know what side of the car the Jimny interior light wiring runs down? Ours is a 2005 model. I'd like to tap into it and put a light in the rear somewhere, has anyone added additional lights to the cargo/rear area from the main interior light? It almost looks as though the roof lining has a moulded dent in it for an additional light, or other countries ran one.
Cheers and beers!
Superduki.

Use a yellow tongue straight through the roof from the existing light to the back near the door and fit off your new light, someone here did that recently looks easy and good. I cant find it its 2:25 am, Im on my phone and have work in a few hours.. bah

yeah do it like that, just run some twin core from your new light and tap into the original one
of you tap in direct off the bulb holder you can make use of the off door on switch to work em both as well

Spot on, thanks for the advice guys! That was my aim to operate it off the standard light switch configuration. They are an adequate light in the front, but now our windows are 20% it's a bit hard to see in the back at night!
Cheers, Superduki.

Does anyone actually know the answer to this?
My interior is currently completely empty no seats or carpet and i may as well run the wire before i reinstall everything (after it dries).

I put a led light in that twist to front and back. Look in my build thread.

I wired up a nice led light strip in my jimny a few years ago. it's super bright didn't even look for wiring as I wanted it to run off the second battery
