Post subject:  G16A Swb Vit id and help

hey guys i have just picked up this vit for parts for my ute. its a SWB Auto, G16A

is the auto 3 speed???
how rare/what starter would fit (it currently has none)
will a Sierra dizzy fit? (also missing)

Gear shift has PRND21

also what diff ratio will this be?

carby swb = trimatic + no OD switch on the shifter

not 100% sure on the diff ratio's, might be 4.6 or 4.8's from memory.

not bad for a few hungie!! :) hopefully the motor is healthy! 220,000km on the clock..
Working out the gearing might take a bit more tho?

Only the front diff is useable in Sierras.
Unless you intend to make a Vitara/Sierra rear diff, which is cool.
4:6 is a good ratio in my mind, bit stronger than 5:12 I'm told,
no idea if that is BS or not.

Based on the theory that smaller teeth are weaker, then the 5.12's would be marginally weaker.

NFI, i'm guessing a G16a :lol:

if you're going to part out what you don't want/use & there is a dead foot pedal/foot rest on the trans tunnel, i'll take it.

If it wont fit in the sierra its yours.

i have a jimny starter here, just deciding if i should thow that in it for now.

I think early carby vits use same starter as Sierras, but only hearsay dunno fer sure

same starter as a G16 manual go well in it, mine was trimatic auto, now manual still same starter
